What's in a Name and Moving In!

by David Godin on 02/11/10

It is now official, our beautiful filly "Paris" as we like to call her at the farm, by Old Forester will now be known as AUTUMN'S REIGN! The name selection took quite some time and a few adjustments. Not that I over thought the name at all but the "AUTUMN" originated from a few dimensions. The first is the fact that she is a striking Chestnut colour. Combine that with her sire Old Forester and well what is orange in the forest? The trees in Autumn! The "Reign" comes from her dam, Pete's Heiress and the "  's  " ? There was already an AUTUMN RAIN so AUTUMN REIGN would not be allowed as they are pronouced the same. SO AUTUMN'S REIGN!

It's hard to believe that we will be shipping WHERE'S A CONNECTION into Woodbine on Sunday and her training will resume. It's going to be an exciting year for United Thoroughbreds with these two fillies looking outstanding!
